Free Advertising
Groups This is such a lucrative way of advertising and there are actual services out there that will send your advertisements to these groups for a small fee. They sell their services as blasting your "Solo Ad" out to hundreds of groups for you. Why would you pay for a service that you can do for FREE? Plus, when they send their ad for you, their name and ad service are being blasted alongside your ad. Don't waste your money! Do it yourself! All you have to do is sign up for an account with the group host (Yahoo, for example) then subscribe to these groups, one by one. After you subscribe, you can start sending your advertisments to THOUSANDS and possibly tens of thousands of individual subscribers! You can do this through your own email account to individual groups, or post to the group through their group page. The possibilities for advertising are endless with these groups! So, for just 10 minutes a day, or even a week, you can start selling and recruiting like you've never done before! For Yahoo Groups, you can send one email to 10 Yahoo Groups at a time without Yahoo kicking back your email. If you have your group email addresses organized in a list (MS Excel works great for this), you can simply copy and paste your email addresses 10 at a time. That means you can reach 100 groups in as little as 10 emails. It doesn't take long to send 10 emails, does it? To start, be sure you subscribe to the WAHStation Yahoo Ads Group. Then, check out the list below for more groups that actually want your advertising! Be sure you read each group's guidelines for submissions. Some groups have specific rules, others are a free-for-all advertising group. Don't turn your name to mud! Be sure you read each group's posting rules so you aren't kicked out. We suggest making a spreadsheet for your groups. Have a page just for anytime posting and enter the group's email addresses one per line. Have other pages for specific day postings, or once-a-day postings. That way, when you want to blast your ad on Monday, you can send an email to Monday-Only ad groups, your once-a-day ad groups, and then to all the anytime ad groups. Also be sure to use the same email and profile to sign up for each group! Make it as simple as possible and this WILL work for you! One reason why people don't like to do this is because of all the emails that come into your inbox from groups and their advertisments. One way to combat this problem is to first make sure your inbox doesn't have a limit to the amount of email that can sit in the server queue. We have our own dedicated server and have set an unlimited amout of space available for our inbox for our email account used for sending ads. Then, we use MS Outlook to check our email. The email is set to check every hour, and once they come into our inbox, we can read and delete at will. Be sure you check to make sure your emails are going through to your groups. Keep your organized list updated so you don't waste time. A few minutes each week keeping track of your groups in a spreadsheet and then sending the emails can earn you a lot of money!
