In the sound byte society that we live in today, it’s virtually impossible to get people to take the time to read any book, none the less a book written by a no name like you. Don’t fret though, this is just a tough line to soften you up for the hardships of marketing, it really is possible to get your name out there if you know what you’re doing. Keep costs low by promoting your e-book yourself. The old saying "time is money" has never ringed as true as it does in online marketing. Reach for high profit by allowing your e-book to be exposed to larger audiences. The great equalizer that is the internet allows users to connect with one an other in so many different ways, often traditional advertising is not needed. Put your e-book in the spotlight by getting it listed on the big retailers online such as eBay, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. Often you will simply need to sign up for an account, and write a compelling description of the item to get it sold. By reaching for larger audiences you will experience a greater amount of success if your e-book starts to sell.

Be creative when all else fails. The most innovative people in the world are the ones that find other ways to do what seems impossible. If you can’t afford a professional audio book recording, try recording a podcast of your e-book and add the energy that only you the author can provide. Can’t get anyone to review your e-book, cut a deal with some major e-book webmasters, ask them for their review and in return you’ll write a short e-book on the topic of their choice, or promote their website to your friends. At the end of the day you as a fresh e-book author have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by promoting your e-book cost effectively.
